Flubber Creations

Green FlubberThe kids and I watched “Flubber” starring Robin Williams for our Friday Night Movie and Little Man loved it. He wanted to create everything he saw. After consulting Google Search, we attempted our own Flubber with cornstarch, water, and food coloring.  I wish I could tell you the measurements, but we decided on a more experiential approach where the kids decided which ingredient was needed next. As a result, the texture and color of their trays were very different. Little Lady ended up with a beautiful lavender color. The kitchen was a mess, but the kids loved it! We noticed that as soon as we stopped playing with the flubber, it quickly switched from solid to liquid form.

Blue FlubberDuring our play Little Man asked “How can we make it come alive?” This led to a discussion of life and our essential body parts and organs that Flubber doesn’t have. We also discussed how precious we are to God as His children.
